Loyalty Account Management

The Fascard Touch Kiosk allows loyalty users to purchase new cards, add value to an existing card, add an additional card to an existing account, and register a Loyalty Account.  The Touch Kiosk is typically configured to accept both cash and credit.


From the FasCard Home Screen, a user can choose from English or Spanish.

Purchasing a New Card

  • To view a step by step guide for purchasing a new card, click the arrow adjacent to the expanding header titled 'Purchasing a New Card - Step by Step'.
  • Purchasing a new card will create a new account. Accounts can be merged by adding a card to an existing Loyalty account. See FasCard Loyalty Site - Settings for more information.

titleGet A New Card Using Cash
  1. From the FasCard Kiosk main menu, click Get New Card.

  2. Enter your dollar bills into the bill acceptor as show in the below picture.

  3. The value amount entered will show on the screen. 
  4. Once the desired amount of money is entered, click Dispense Card.

  5. Wait until prompted to take the card.  The money is being added to the card.

  1. From the FasCard Kiosk main menu, click Get New Card.

  2. Select Get New Card with Debit/Credit.

  3. Once 'Get New Card With Credit/Debit' is pressed, the available options screen will load.
  4. Select the preferred package.

  5. 'Insert Credit Card' screen will load and display amount of chosen package.

  6. Insert credit card- messages will appear to indicate success and provide instructions.
  7. FasCard Loyalty card will be dispensed.


Adding Value to an Existing Account

  • When adding value to an existing account, the user will be present the option to add an additional card to the existing account. This is limited to 5 additional cards in a 24 hour period.

  1. Insert an existing card into the kiosk.
  2. The current card balance will display near top of screen.

  3. To add value using cash, insert bills now.
  4. The balance will change according to the cash amount inserted into the kiosk.
  5. Click "Done" when finished.

titleRedeem Coupon CodesCoupons

A Store Owner can do promotions and offer customers coupons as incentives to keep coming to their store.  To redeem a coupon, you may need to ask the Store Owner/Manager for the coupon code.

Once received:

  1. Insert customer card into the Kiosk

  2. Select Coupon.

  3. Enter the code using the keypad screen and click Submit.
  4. The Customer will receive the message of the description of the bonus. 

  5. In this case, and additional $2.55 was added to the Customer's Loyalty Card.

When first inserting a customer's card into the FasCard Kiosk, the main account screen appears displaying the current balance along with other features.

A Loyalty Customer has the ability to see where value has been added to their FasCard.  

  1. Insert card and select Activity.
  2. By clicking the "+" icon beside each amount, it will expand to display the exact amount added along with a time stamp and Reader/Kiosk location name.

Loyalty Customers can register their card to make it easier for Store Owners to locate and deactivate, in case the card is lost or stolen.

To Register a Loyalty Card, follow the steps below.

  1. Insert the card into the Kiosk.
  2. Select the Register button.
  3. Once finished entering the information, click Submit.

Troubleshooting

If a dispenser error occurs, the following steps are available to both customer and attendant.

  • If the magnetic stripe on a Loyalty card is not properly read when dispensed, the system will request that the user enter the card and pin numbers.
  • If the card and pin numbers are entered correctly, the card will be activated.
    • If either number is incorrect, the screen will display an error message and request correction.

If a user inserts a credit card that is not properly read, the card will not be charged and no temp account is created.

  • If the user does not enter attempt to enter card information, the number pad screen (step 1) will timeout after three (3) minutes.
  • If a temporary account is created (as shown above), managers or attendants with access to the page may locate and edit the account as necessary (including adding the purchased card to the account).
    • Temp accounts created in this fashion have the following information included:
    • The 'Name' field is set to the name of the error and the time it occurred, e.g. 'Dispenser Error @ 2016/8/29 9:57am'.
    • The address field is set to the Touch Kiosk address and the name of the location, e.g. 'Kiosk 123 @ John's Laundry'.
