Overview

The FasCard Touch Kiosk has multiple options that can be configured by users with Admin or Equipment Setup privileges.  These configuration options are found by signing in to the  FasCard Admin Site and navigating to the Equipment Types page under the Setup tab.

Configuration Option

Firmware

Allows a Support User or above to select which Touch Kiosk firmware the equipment type should be set to.

Note: The most current available firmware with an asterisk next to its version serves as default on creation of equipment type and is recommended for updating.

EMV Firmware

Allows a Support User or above to select which EMV Firmware version the Touch Kiosk EMV Reader should be set to. The default should be set to v1.01.229.

When updating EMV firmware, the process can be visible on the Touch Kiosk directly via Diagnostic Menu → Start Diagnostics in both the EMV Card Reader section and the real-time logs below.

Note: Requires a C-1009 EMV Reader to be installed. Changing the selected EMV Firmware dropdown choice will otherwise have no effect.

EMV Config

Allows a Support User or above to select which EMV Configuration the Touch Kiosk EMV Reader should be set to. The default should be Worldnet Prod.

When updating the EMV config, the process can be visible on the Touch Kiosk directly via Diagnostic Menu → Start Diagnostics in both the EMV Card Reader section and the real-time logs below.

Note: Requires a C-1009 EMV Reader to be installed. Changing the selected EMV Config dropdown choice will otherwise have no effect.

Name

This field allows the name of the kiosk to be edited

Bill Capacity

This field can be edited as needed, based upon the capacity of the bill validator magazine.

Loyalty Cards Accepted Via:

This dropdown allows operators to choose whether a customer will either insert their loyalty card or swipe the loyalty card alongside the C-1009 EMV Bezel’s card swipe, or both methods.

Allow dispense of new card for existing user

This checkbox allows operators to have a customer’s card held, if the “Loyalty Card Accepted Via” dropdown has either “Any Method” or “Card Dispenser Insert Only” set.

Accepted Bills

This field specifies the bills accepted by the bill validator.

Accepted Orientations

Note: This function does not work with Talos BNAs! To set Accepted Orientations on a Talos Bill Acceptor, a filled out configuration sheet is required to set bill orientation preferences.

This field specifies the facing and direction in which bills are accepted.

  • 4 ways allows bills to be inserted in any orientation.

  • 2 ways allows bills to be inserted face up but the top edge of the bill in either orientation.

  • 1 way will only allow the bill to be inserted face up with the top edge aligned to the left side of the bill validator.
