To access this function, your specific Card ID (The 12-digit number on the back of the card) must have VERIFY CREDIT CARD selected under CARDS in permission settings. Please see your store Owner/Manager to update your permission settings. See Permission Settings and Functions for more information on how to set permissions.
If your store accepts credit cards, the store operator may set a security feature that will prevent certain credit card transactions that exceed a designated amount (See your manager for this amount). In the case where a customer wants to use the same credit card for more than the specified amount, it is possible for you to override the security feature. Follow the below instructions to verify a credit card.
Insert your card into the X-Changer and select CARDS from the main menu.
Select VERIFY CREDIT CARD from the screen.
Ask the customer for their credit card and their photo ID.
If the name on the card matches the card and the photo matches the customer, enter the last 4 digits of the credit card number into the screen and press 'Submit'.
Once complete, the system will allow the customer to use their card beyond the specified limit. Please review any additional procedures your store may have for approving credit card transactions.
