  1. Tap the machine AC power wires using the C-5101 Spade Taps. See FasCard Reader Install - Universal Concepts for more details.

    1. For 120vac models: L1, N, and Ground wires

    2. For 240vac models: L1, L2, and Ground wires

  2. Connect the three wires from the C-5210 Power Adapter Harness to the C-5101 Spade Taps.

    1. Connect the Blue wire to the L1 tap.

    2. Connect the Brown wire to the N/L2 tap.

    3. Connect the Green/Yellow wire to the Ground tap.

  3. Connect the 3-pin connector from the C-5210 Power Adapter Harness to the matching connector on the C-5602R1 Power Converter.

  4. Connect the 4-pin connector from the C-5602R1 Power Converter to the matching connector on the C-5500-60 Power Extension Harness.

  5. Run the C-5500-60 Power Extension Harness to the reader mounting location.

Connect Coin Sense Harness

Coin Sense

  1. Disconnect the Coin Drop from the Machine Control Assembly.

    1. If the Coin Drop sensor harness does not have a disconnect, it must be cut and stripped.

  2. Connect the C-5310 Combination Harness to the disconnected wires leading to the Coin Drop. Connect each of the wires to the corresponding color on the terminal block with the red, green, and blue wires.

Start

  1. Connect the end with the Green and Blue with jumper wire end to the machine.

    1. Red wire connects at the Jumper. Green and blue wires connect to the corresponding connections.

  2. Disconnect wires from Coin Block solenoid.

    1. Connect these wires to the White (male) spade connector on the C-5310 Combination Harness.

  3. Connect White (female) spade connector on C-5310 Combination Harness to the Coin Block solenoid.

  1. Remove the harness connected to the microswitch mounted to the coin drop. Connect the C-0113 Machine Start Harness to the harness previously connected to the microswitch.

  1. Connect the end with the Green and Blue with jumper wire end to the machine.

    1. Red wire connects at the Jumper. Green and blue wires connect to the corresponding connections.

  2. Disconnect wires from Coin Block solenoid.

    1. Connect these wires to the White (male) spade connector on the C-6310 Combination Harness.

  3. Connect White (female) spade connector on C-6310 Combination Harness to the Coin Block solenoid.

Connect and Mount Reader

 LaundryCard Reader (C-0100, C-0101, C-0102, C-0103)

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through mounting bracket.

  2. For serial setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 1 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. For coin pulse setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the the Cat5 cables running to and from the adjacent machines to ports labeled 3 (Line Connection Ports) as shown in the image above.

  5. Secure the LaundryCard reader to the bracketry using included hardware.

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through mounting bracket.

  2. For serial setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 1 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. For coin pulse setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the free end of the Power Harness to port 1.

  5. Secure the L2 reader to base as described in FasCard F2/F3 Reader Installation Guide - Front Mount.

 F1 Reader (C-5001)

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through the mounting hole as described in the F1 Reader Mounting Guide.

  2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 1 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the free end of the Coin Sense Harness to port 3 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  5. Connect the free end of the Power Extension Harness to port 4 (Power Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  6. Secure the FasCard reader to base as described in the F1 Reader Mounting Guide.

 F2/FLEX Reader (C-5401, C-5402, C-5402E)

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through the mounting hole as described in FasCard F2/F3 Reader Installation Guide - Front Mount.

  2. For Serial Setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 5 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. For Pulse Setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the free end of the Coin Sense Harness to port 3 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    1. For dual coin drop setups connect the secondary Coin Sense Harness to port 4 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  5. Connect the free end of the Power Harness to port 1.

  6. Secure the FasCard reader to base as described in FasCard F2/F3 Reader Installation Guide - Front Mount.
