F1 Reader Mounting Guide

Select a suitable location on the front of the machine to mount the card reader. It's recommended that you mount the card reader as close to the coin drop as possible.

Place the C-5700-TEMP template on the face of the machine with the straight edge of template facing up. The C-5700-TEMP template has the same outside dimensions as the card reader to help align the placement of the reader.

Using a sharpie marker, mark target drill location for the reader base, using hole "D'.

Using a hole saw and drill, carefully drill a 1-1/8" hole through machine front, be sure there is nothing behind target location inside the machine that can get damaged.

1. If the material is stainless steel its recommended that a pilot hole be drilled to help keep the hole saw in the desired location. 
   
   
   

   
   
   
   

Mount the C-5700 bracket to machine face using the C-5702 and C-5703 chase nipple and nut.

Tighten the nut with pliers, make sure the bracket remains square on the face of the machine.

Feed the harnesses through the 1-1/8" hole and bracket on the machine. 

Connect the card reader to the harnesses.

Mount the card reader to the C-5700 bracket with the C-0141 screws. 

Affix the screw cover label on the card reader.

Select a suitable +location on top of the machine to mount the card reader. It's recommended that you mount the card reader as close to the coin drop as possible.

Place C-5700-TEMP template on top of the machine lid with the straight edge of the template facing the front of the machine.

1. Align template center with center of coin drop.

2. Template should be approximately 3/4" from the front edge of machine (this is a suggestion, installer discretion). 

Using a sharpie marker, mark target drill location for swipe reader base, use hole "F".

Remove the machine lid (if possible). 

Place the lid on a solid, level surface and drill a pilot hole with the 9/64" drill bit at the previously marked drill location. 

Using a hole saw, drill carefully to make a 1-1/8" hole through machine lid. 

Mount the C-5014 reader base to lid using the C-5702 and C-5703 chase nipple and nut.

Tighten the nut with pliers make sure the base remains square on the lid.

Place the lid back on the machine and feed the wires through the machine lid and base unit.

Connect the harness to the card reader. 

Mount the reader to the base with the C-5705 screws. 

Affix C-5021-INV screw cover label to the reader.
