General information
The Rapid Advance function is primarily used to expedite and end a machine's cycle. Depending on the machine, this feature may or may not be present when attempting to advance a cycle. By default, the Rapid Advance function is enabled during the entirety of a cycle, however, manufacturers have given the operator the option to adjust the availability of this function to either be present only at the start of the cycle or disabled altogether.
This function is commonly utilized during troubleshooting processes to promptly restart the machine and verify its functionality.
Note that not all machines will have a ‘Rapid Advance’ feature, but rather something similar and functionally different. For example, Dexter C-Series Washers have an ‘Emergency Stop’ button that can end a cycle immediately.
