General Information
The F2 FasCard reader is the second generation of FasCard readers
The F2 reader features a modular approach to hardware, allowing for easy replacement of individual components in the field. Instructions for replacing modular components may be found in the FasCard F2 Reader Field Replaceable Components Guide.Â
The F2 reader utilizes dual coin inputs, allowing two individual coin drops to be used with one reader. Coin drops may be independently configured to recognize one coin denomination per drop. More information on the coin input modes may be found on the FasCard Admin Site - Equipment Setup page. The location of the coin inputs is shown here.
The F2 FasCard reader can accept both 12vdc and 24vac power natively and does not require the C-5602 power converter when these options are available. 110/220vac applications require the C-5602 power converter.

Managers, attendants, and any configured User Account with a card number and balance can be used to start a machine.  These transactions can be tracked with the Employee Activity report. These machines can be started as normal by swiping the associated card and selecting the 'Start Machine' option.  If the user has sufficient balance associated with their account, the machine will start.
The FasCard F2 reader can also be started by swiping a credit card or through the FasCard mobile app/site.
