How-to create a VPN connection in Apple iOS 7/8

Purpose

This guide will show you how to setup a VPN connection to your laundromat on an Apple device running iOS 7 or iOS 8.

Create the VPN

  1. From the home screen click the "Settings" icon

  2. Click General then click on VPN
     

  3. Click on Add VPN Configuration


  4. Select "PPTP" from the top of the screen. 


  5. Fill in the following fields leaving any other settings as is.

    • Description: Enter a description for the new connection

    • Server: The static IP address of the store

    • Account: The username provided by CCI

    • Password: The password provided by CCI

    • Send All Traffic:

      • iOS 6+ set this to ON

      • Pre iOS6 Set to OFF

  6. Click Save

  7. Once the VPN has been created, click the switch to turn the VPN on.

     

  8.  If connected successfully, the screen will indicate "Status: Connected" and a small "VPN" icon will display at the top of the screen.
