Creating a WDF User
In order to create WDF Users, the FasCard/FLEX store’s account has to be enabled to use the WDF system. Contact CCI for more information.
Overview
With the addtion of the latest Version 3 of the FasCard Mobile App, Wash Dry Fold (WDF) integration was added to the mobile app with legacy features pertaining to user management and reporting added to the FasCard Admin Site. This document provides a general overview of setting up and removing WDF users to the store account’s system.
User Account Types
In the User Accounts page under the Users tab on the FasCard Admin Site, three types of ‘users’ can be added to the User Accounts table. As of Release36 and FasCard Mobile App Version 3, with a store account enabled for WDF ProLink, you can add an employee / authorized user, an API ‘user’ for setting up any third party Point Of Sale or other API-related access software, or a Wash Dry Fold User.
Add New WDF User
WDF Users will be able to start a start machine with a unique assigned Laundry card, swiping on a machine and tying that machine start to the user’s assigned WDF order.
When logged in as an Account Admin or an authorized user with User Account permissions, click the user tab to pull up the User Accounts table.
Click the Add New WDF User link.
Complete the required information in the New WDF User Details fields and click Save.
Name | The name of the user you want to be assigned as a WDF User. |
Card # | The card number you would want to assign for use with starting machines as a WDF User. |
Location | This field populates when the WDF User card is used at a specific location. |
Identifier | Allows a user to be assigned a color icon to easier distinguish between and identify employees' WDF jobs and starts in the latest FasCard Mobile App. |
Notes | For adding notes to a user’s details (e.g. available WDF trimes, assigned employee(s), etc.). |
At minimum, the only required entry field is the User’s Name, but it is strongly recommended to fill all information for reporting and tracking purposes.
Editing an existing WDF User
When editing an existing WDF user, the only fields that can be changed are Card Number, Identifier and entered Notes.
You can edit a WDF user by clicking on its row in the table to access the User’s Details fields.
Deleting a WDF User
If a WDF user had performed at least one activity, the user cannot be deleted from the system.
Click on the row of the WDF user you would want to delete from the system.
At the bottom of the User’s Details fields, click the Delete button. You will get a prompt to confirm deletion of the user in question.
If confirmed, you will get a successful deletion banner above the Search bar of the User Accounts page.
Some WDF Users may not be deletable. This is a known nuance when starting a machine using a WDF order without a WDF user’s card number associated to the order, as a user account has to be tied to the started machine.
