FLEX RF Kiosk User Guide

Overview

This document serves as the primary operations guide for end users and attendants for FLEX locations using a FLEX RF Kiosk.

Introduction

FLEX RF systems utilize the latest FLEX RF contactless loyalty cards, providing a seamless purchasing experience with the tap of a card. The FLEX RF Kiosk is allows loyalty users to:

  • Purchase new cards.

  • Add value to an existing card.

  • View loyalty points rewarded to the account from previous visits.

FLEX RF Kiosks can be configured to accept both cash and credit.

The FLEX RF Kiosk Home Screen

The FLEX RF Kiosk home screen displays a selection menu similar to the Touch Kiosk home screen.

Customers can add value, check their account balance, or purchase a new card.

For FasCard Mobile App customers, using the FasCard Mobile App to scan the Data Matrix Code visible when selecting either Check Balance or Add Value displays the customer’s loyalty account details directly on the FLEX RF Kiosk.

Purchasing a New Card

Purchasing a new card will create a new account. Accounts can be merged by adding a card to an existing Loyalty account. See FasCard Loyalty Site - Settings for more information.

Obtaining a contactless loyalty card is similar to the larger FLEX RF Touch Kiosk in that customers are presented with the option of purchasing a new card with cash or credit/debit/EBT card. These options are presented to customers when selecting the Get New Card option from the home screen, and dispense from the contactless card dispenser below.

Get New Card - Cash

  1. From the Get New Card menu, select the Add Cash button. Alternatively, you can insert cash immediately after tapping the Get New Card option.

  2. Insert your dollar bills into the bill acceptor. The value amount inserted will show on screen and update for each bill you insert.

  3. Once the desired amount of money has been inserted, tap Done. A ‘Transferring Funds…’ prompt will appear before the card dispenser activates.

  4. Wait until card is dispensed and card balance confirmation displays on screen.

  5. Retrieve your newly dispensed card.

Get New Card - Credit/Debit

  1. From the Get New Card menu, select the Add Credit button.

  2. Choose from one of the Add Value packages visible on-screen.

  3. On the Credit payment method screen, you’ll be prompted to either insert an EMV chip card into the reader or tap an NFC-capable card or NFC pay-ready smart device.

    If the credit/debit/EBT card is incapable of either of the above secure options, you can swipe your card on the magstrip reader located to the right of the touchscreen.

  4. Wait until card is dispensed and card balance confirmation displays on screen.

  5. Retrieve your newly dispensed card.

Add Value to Existing Account

Much like the standard Add Value Kiosk, you can add value to an existing loyalty card via cash or credit card directly at the FLEX RF Kiosk.

From the home screen, you can access loyalty details through one of the following methods:

  • Tap a contactless loyalty card on the reader screen directly from the home page to immediately pull up the loyalty details page.

  • Tap on either the Add Value button or the Check Balance button. From here, you can either tap a contactless loyalty card or scan the QR code while logged into the FasCard Mobile App.

From the loyalty details screen you can add value to your account by cash or credit.

  1. From the loyalty details menu, select the Add Cash button. Alternatively, you can immediately insert cash while on the loyalty details menu.

  4. Once the card balance confirmation displays on screen, funds will be immediately available on the loyalty account.

  1. Select the Add Credit button from the loyalty details screen.

View Rewards

If the location rewards loyalty points toward eligible bonus cash usable at that location, a third option to View Rewards will be available on the loyalty details screen.

Simply tap the View Rewards button to view your current point tally.
