Equipment Models

Requirements

  • New or replacement hard drive

Instructions

Before opening the computer housing, make sure all  power is disconnected from the unit.

 

  1. Locate and slide, to open the computer housing.
  2. Remove the housing cover.
  3. Locate the hard drive and the two, blue hard drive tabs. Squeeze, and then gently lift the hard drive out of the computer.

  4. Locate,and gently unplug the two cables shown below in the picture from the rear of hard drive. 

     
  5. Locate the two blue tabs on the hard drive case.Gently push out to release the hard drive from the case. Lift the hard drive out

  6. When replacing with new hard drive line up the blue tabs with the holes on the side of the hard drive,and snap the hard drive back into the case. If you have to force the hard drive in, it is not lined up correctly, stop and try again
  7. Once the hard drive is back into the plastic case,re-attach the two cable taken out in step 2.
  8. Line the black rear tab of the hard drive case with the slotted openning on the computer case
  9. Locate,and align the front end of the hard drive plastic case with the pins inside the computer case and press down gently. Snapping the hard drive and case back into place.

  10. Closing the computer case: Line up the three wall tabs, with the slots on the computer housing
  11.  Once the three tabs are in place close the computer housing gently snapping it shut.
