On LCRFs configured with a static IP, before proceeding make sure that the ISP modem/router are configured to automatically give out IP addresses (DHCP). If DHCP is not enabled on the modem/router then the LCRF will be unable to obtain an IP address after it is reset. This means it will not be able to download the full configuration from the datacenter and will be unusable. |
Disconnect power from the LCRF.
- Disconnect the ethernet cables from the LCRF
Press and hold the
'RES'‘RES’ reset button.
- Power up
Reconnect power to the LCRF.
- The 'USR' LED will turn on solid for about 5 seconds and then begin Wait until the (ACT Light or Green Light) starts flashing.
- Once the LED starts to flash and before it again turns on solid in about 5 seconds, release the Release the 'RES' reset button.
Keep the LCRF powered
up for 60 secondson.
This reset operation will configure the LCRF to the initial CCI

"BootStrap" configuration.
- The LCRF will then automatically download and install the latest ‘operational’ configuration.

- During this sequence, it is important to keep the LCRF powered on. This procedure may take up to 15 minutes.
- After the downloads and installation are completed, the LCRF will automatically become operational.
Check with your CCI technician if the factory reset was successful.

If you wait until LED stops flashing, and only then release the button - this will instead launch Netinstall mode, to reinstall RouterOS. |
