Overview

This page is intended to guide the user through proper reboot and shutdown procedures on the computer within each X-Changer cabinet.  Store owners may have a different version of LaundryCard.  Therefore a few screens may be different in the processes outlined below.

Determine the Primary System

  • Failure to adhere to proper reboot and shutdown procedure may result in data loss.
  • If both X-Changers are displayed as the Database Primary or the Database Backup, contact Technical Support.

Method 1: LaundryCard Main Page

Version 6.5 and higherVersion 9

LaundryCard software versions 6.5 and higher display Primary and Backup indicators in the upper left hand corner of the screen when LaundryCard applications are running.

Older software versions require different methods to obtain Primary and Backup information.

LaundryCard software version V9 displays the Primary in the center of the home screen.

Method 2: Using Store Status to Determine Primary System

Insert a Manager, Attendant, or Technician card and navigate to the Store Status page.

In V5 and V6, the Primary database will be in 'Database' row. If CCI1 is listed here, that corresponds to X-Changer A. CCI2 corresponds to X-Changer B.

In V7 and V8, the Primary database is clearly labeled as such in the top row of the System Status section.In V9, the Primary database is found in the Store status screen under the Maintenance Menu.  The primary is listed under "System Status" as well as at the top of the screen.

If the system to be rebooted is Database Backup

Frequency of Maintenance:  Monthly


  1. Insert Manager's card (or a card with maintenance permissions) into Backup X-Changer and click the Restart System button.

  2. Choose the appropriate button to reboot the Backup X-Changer.

  3. Windows will prompt for confirmation of reboot. Click OK to confirm.

  2. Verify no database backup errors are present.

    1. If database backup errors are present, contact Technical Support before proceeding.
  3. Click the Back button.
  4. Click the Restart System button.

  6. KeepAGoin will display a popup indicating a database backup has been completed. Click OK to confirm.

  1. Connect the keyboard to an available USB port on the computer and press the Windows key located along the bottom row.

  2.  A Start menu will appear at the bottom left corner of the screen. Using the touch screen or a mouse, click Shut Down.

  3. A window appears which allows log off, restart, or shut down. Select the desired option then click OK.

  4. Wait for computer to shutdown. All lights on the front of the computer should turn off and the monitor will go blank.
