  • Perform Control Head preventative maintenance at a time that is convenient as machines can become inoperable for a few minutes while testing.

  • If there are any red lights on either

control head
  • Control Head, power it off by flipping the white switch on the back of the

control head
  • Control Head and then power it back up to see if this resets the

  1. Using a Manager Card, or an Attendant Card with the appropriate permissions, insert the card into one of the X-Changers.

  1. power down the computer and unplug cables for lines 0 - 4 or 0 - 5 from the

control head
  1. Control Head then disconnect the cable connected to 'Other Value Center'.  

  2. Go back to Store Status and find out which X-Changer is running WCRD in Master Mode.

 
  1. Make sure there are no

problem readers
  1. Problem Readers and that all machines have good poll counts.

    1. aren’t any Problem Readers and the poll counts look normal, plug cables for lines 0 - 4 or 0 - 5 back into the

control head Once it is confirmed that master mode has 'failed over' to the other X-Changer begin check of the control head starting at Step 1 - Step 4.
    1. Control Head and reconnect the cable to 'Other Value Center'.

  • Log off of computer that is currently running WCRD in master mode.
  • On the other computer (the one running WCRD in backup mode) go to Store Status and verify that WCRD has switched from backup mode to master mode, this might take up to two minutes to 'fail over'.  
      1. If there are Problem Readers present, write down the reader numbers so you can compare them after checking the other X-Changer.

        1. You can troubleshoot them by following Card Reader Line Troubleshooting.

    1. Remove your card from the X-Changer and power on the Backup Mode computer.

    2. Once the LaundryCard application starts, wait an additional two minutes to allow the background processes to start up as well.

    3. Repeat steps 1 - 8 for the X-Changer that is in WCRD Control Mode.

      1. During this process, the X-Changer that is in Backup Mode will take over and become Control Mode. This may take up to five minutes. Wait until the X-Changer is in Control Mode before verifying if there are Problem Readers.
