Warning
Perform Control Head preventative maintenance at a time that is convenient as machines can become inoperable for a few minutes while testing.
If there are any red lights on either Control Head, power it off by flipping the white switch on the back of the Control Head and then power it back up to see if this resets the Control Head. If it doesn’t, please see https://cardconceptsinc.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/8553534 for further instructions.
Starting at the front, check for 3 green voltage lights.
Red lights are an indication of either a short on a line or a problem with the card dispenser, card readers or bar code scanner or no power to the Control Head.
Using a Manager Card, or an Attendant Card with the appropriate permissions, insert the card into one of the X-Changers.
Go to Maintenance then Store Status.
Find out which X-Changer is running WCRD in Backup Mode.Â
From the X-Changer running in Backup Mode, power down the computer and unplug cables for lines 0 - 4 or 0 - 5 from the Control Head then disconnect the cable connected to 'Other Value Center'. Â
Go back to Store Status and find out which X-Changer is running WCRD in Master Mode.
Make sure there are no Problem Readers and that all machines have good poll counts.Â
If there aren’t any Problem Readers and the poll counts look normal, plug cables for lines 0 - 4 or 0 - 5 back into the Control Head and reconnect the cable to 'Other Value Center'.
If there are Problem Readers present, write down the reader numbers so you can compare them after checking the other X-Changer.
You can troubleshoot them by following Card Reader Line Troubleshooting.
Remove your card from the X-Changer and power on the Backup Mode computer.
Once the LaundryCard application starts, wait an additional two minutes to allow the background processes to start up as well.
Repeat steps 1 - 8 for the X-Changer that is in WCRD Control Mode.
During this process, the X-Changer that is in Backup Mode will take over and become Control Mode. This may take up to five minutes. Wait until the X-Changer is in Control Mode before verifying if there are Problem Readers.
