Overview

This guide will outline the requirements and protocols for creating the various types of FasCard and LaundryCard loyalty cards and assumes a level of proficiency with Adobe Photoshop software.

FasCard

Personalized

Personalized FasCards are pre-printed cards with the card number printed on top of the card using thermal transfer printing. To create the card artwork the FasCard template file will be used.

Front

• No changes can be made to the front side of a personalized FasCard.

•  Use the layer labeled 'Front - Generic / Personalized'.

• 'Loyalty Card', Card number, and PIN will be printed onto the front of the card in white.

Back

• Use the layer labeled 'Back'.
• Artwork must be contained within the marked area designated by the layer labeled 'Printable Area - Back'.
• Solid colors only (No use of opacity or gradients.).

• Use of black color only.

Customized

Customized FasCards are printed using 4 color offset printing. To create the card artwork the FasCard template file will be used.

Front

• Artwork can make use of up to 4 spot colors, or full CMYK color process.

• Ensure there is Custom artwork must incorporate an arrow on the front of the card pointing to the left to direct users how to insert the card.

• If card number and PIN are to be printed on the front side of the card artwork, make the 'Card Number / PIN' layer visible to ensure the artwork will not conflict with the card numbers.

Back

*** Need consensus *** Allow backside artwork with custom cards if a space for the card number is created, or flat no backside card artwork on customized cards.

• No changes can be made to the back side of a customized FasCard as the card number and PIN will be printed on the back.

• To utilize the back side of the card, the area for card number and PIN must be incorporated into the front side artwork (Make visible the 'Card Number / PIN' layer to preview the location where the numbers will be printed.). Otherwise the back side of the card must remain blank for the card number and PIN to be printed on.
• Artwork must be contained within the marked area designated by the layer labeled 'Printable Area - Back'.
• Use the layer labeled 'Back'.
• Solid colors only (No use of opacity or gradients.).

• Use of black color only.

LaundryCards are pre-printed cards with the personalized artwork printed on top of the card using thermal transfer printing. To create the card artwork the LaundryCard template file will be used.

Front

• Artwork must be contained within the marked area designated by the layer labeled 'Printable Area - Front'Artwork must follow these guidelines:.

• Solid colors only (No use of opacity or gradients.).

• One color of customer's choice from available color selection (Selection will be indicated in order. If no color is requested, default to black.)..

Specialty

There are a few specialty LaundryCards which use pre-printed front side artwork for use with a group of customers and when ordered, the back side can be personalized. To create the card artwork the LaundryCard template file will be used.

Lite System

Final Files

JPG Preview - One for each applicable side.

      2. 1050 x 675px, 72 DPI, .JPG
      3. Save file as:
         1. Front: '(Insert Account ID).jpg'
            1. Example:  ABC1234.jpg
         2. Back: '(Insert Account ID)B.jpg'
            1. Example: ABC1234b.jpg

PSD Flattened - One for each applicable side.

      3. 1050 x 675px, 300 DPI, .PSD
      4. Save file as:
         1. Front: '(Insert Account ID).psd'
         2. Example:  ABC1234.psd

         4. Example:  ABC1234b.psd

PSD Master - One for each applicable side.

      2. Save file as:

PDF Approval Form - One for the per project.

1. 1. 1. Make the applicable form layer visible (FasCard or LaundryCard).
      2. Insert applicable JPG preview files.
      3. Size and position JPG previews in respected locations using pre-set document guides.
      4. Fill 'Customer ID #' and field with account number.
      5. Fill 'Color Process' fields.field following these guidelines:
         

         1. If customized card type - 'Customize Customized - # Color Process' where '#' is the number of spot colors used (Do not include backside artwork for # of spot colors.) or 'Full CMYK' for full color artwork.

         2. If personalized card type - 'Personalized - #' where '#' is the requested color of use for the artwork. 

      6. Save as .PDF with layers disabled and using 'CCI_PDF_Card_Artwork_Proof' preset if using Adobe software (File Link Here) or smallest file size if using non-Adobe softwareor create the smallest file size while retaining at least 150 PPI for images.
         1. LaundryCard - file name is 'C-2### APPROVAL.PDF'. Where the '### should be ' is the numeric characters from the customer's ID number.
         2. FasCard - file name is 'F#### APPROVAL.PDF'. Where the '#### should be ' is the numeric characters from the customer's ID number.
