Step 1 -

Remove

 Removing the Control Head from the X-Changer

  1. Flip the white rocker switch on the rear of

the control head
  1. the Control Head to the

'Off'
  1. "OFF" position.

  2. Disconnect all cables from the front and rear of the
control head
  1. Control Head unit. 
Remove the screws securing the control head
    1. CCI Technical Support recommends taking a photo of the existing connections with a smartphone/camera as a reference for the re-installation process. 
  1. Remove the screws securing the Control Head wings to the X-Changer
framepanel
  1. mounting rack.

Remove Control Head Wings

  1. Using

driver
  1. Driver, remove the screws securing the wings
to the control head.panel
  1. on the sides of the Control Head
    1. Set the screws aside for reassembly.

Step 3 -

Open

  1. Remove the screws

panel - internal
  1. panel–internal cable connections will prevent it from being removed entirely. 
    1. Disconnect the USB cable. 
    2. Disconnect the parallel (ribbon) cables.

Step 4 -

Remove Failed Power Supply

Removing the failed power supply 

  1. Note the location of the existing wires connected to the power supply that requires replacement. 
    1. The larger power supply is the
15 volt supply and the
    1. 15V supply. The smaller is the
12 volt
    1. 12V supply. 
    2. CCI Technical Support recommends taking a picture of the existing wire connections with a
camera or smart phone.

  2. Remove the screws securing the power supply to the Control Head case.

    Please be aware that the screws for the power supply are located on the external underside of the Control Head case. Caution is required when removing them, as the power supply may come loose during removal.

  3. Lift the power supply free of the Control Head case.

Step 5 - Installing the replacement power supply and reconnecting the Control Head

  1. Reverse the steps listed from Step 4 to Step 1 to install the replacement power supply. 

    Note

    Turn the orange plastic screw adjacent to the wiring screws clockwise until it stops (do not overturn).
