  • C-6801 Universal Mounting Kit.
  • For High-Front solutions:
    • The X080-002 High Mount Base kit.
      • This kit will come with the C-6465 F2/F3 High Mount Bracket and two (2) mounting screws.
  • For Top Mount solutions:
    • The C-6452 mounting base kit.
  • Not Included:

    • Phillips bit (if using an electronic screwdriver/drill/driver) or #2 Phillips screwdriver.
    • T15 Secure Torx bit (if using an electronic screwdriver/drill/driver) or screwdriver with a T15 Secure Torx tip.
      • Also recommend a flex extension to accommodate for any tight angles/spacing if using any type of bit driver.
    • Large pliers (e.g. Straight Jaw or Hex Jaw Pliers) or an adjustable wrench for tightening the C-5702 Chase Nipple & Lock Nut that comes with the C-6801 Universal Kit.
      • May need two, in some cases.

    Recommended if installing onto a new machine:

    • Drill.
    • 1 1/8" Tungsten Carbide Tipped Hole Cutter.
    • Cutting Oil.
    • 9/64" Drill Bit.
    • Center Punch.
    • Hammer.
    • Fine Point Permanent Marker.
    • Pliers.
    • Tape Measure.

    top-mount placements, CCI strongly recommends mounting

    bracket 1-1/4 inches from the front of the machine

    to the edge of the reader

    , to allow for card swipe clearance.

    Ensure the drilled hole aligns accordingly. Mounting the top-mount bracket any further back then 1-1/

    4 inches (1.25")

    4inches from the front of the machine to the edge of the reader can potentially interfere with mounting the reader to the bracket and may prevent users from being able to swipe or insert a card into the reader due to lack of clearance.

    Step 1 - Drilling Preparation

    2. With the drilled hole prepped, you are now ready to mount the reader.

    Step 2 - Mounting the bracket & reader

    In a high-front mounting solution where the FasCard reader will be angled downward toward the customer in regard to taller machines, our C-6465 bracket would be used for this install.

    1. Attach the C-6465 High Mount Bracket in its place, securing it down with a chase nipple.

    1. Mount the universal bracket to the high-front bracket with two (2) 8-32 screws and feed the harness wiring through the center. Whether choosing to feed wiring first or mounting the bracket first is no problem as long as the end result (pictured below) is achieved.

    2. Connect the harnesses to their appropriate locations in the back of the reader.

    1. Slowly mount the reader to the corresponding bracket with the top lip catching the locking edge and carefully wedging the reader in place. Ensure no metal edges of the bracket are visible.
