This document is meant to provide a step-by-step guide on how to restore a LaundryCard Dell PC from the Windows blue ‘recovery screen’.

General information

Occasionally during power outages/storms, a Dell computer might go into recovery mode stating that files might be corrupt, the operating system is corrupt, etc.

Step-by-step guide

  1. When on the Recovery screen, press F8 to get to 'Startup Settings'.

  2. Choose the option to ‘Enable Safe Mode’PC will enter ‘Safe Mode’ Enable Safe Mode option.

  3. The PC will then reboot into Safe Mode.

  4. Once on the desktop for ‘Safe Safe Mode', restart the computer through Windowsthe Start menu.

  5. After restartrestarting, the PC will come back online normally boot into Windows as normal.
