This document assumes the installer has working knowledge of hand tools and of the target machine in question. Physical modification of machine may be required, including modification of machine panels and internal modification to accommodate cables or harnesses.

  1. Place the C-6700-TEMP Drill Template on the desired mounting location.

  2. Verify included harnesses will reach desired location without encountering interference from internal machine components.

  1. Remove existing coin box and coin drop.

  2. Install C-0905 Drop Cover where the coin drop was previously mounted. Secure in place using the existing hardware.
  3. Align the C-5414 Mounting Bracket with the C-6936 Vault Bracket with the C-5414 Mounting Bracket on top. Run all reader harnesses through the holes in the brackets.

  4. Bend the side tabs of the C-6936 Vault Bracket outward and install into the coin vault. The tabs should snap into place securing the bracket.

  5. Attach C-5414 Mounting Bracket to the C-6936 Vault Bracket using C-0144 Screws.

  1. Tap power as described in the Fascard Reader Install - Universal Concepts document by connecting the C-5211 Power Adapter Harness to the male spade connectors on the machine power panel.
    1. Connect the green wire to the ground terminal.
    2. A corner of the power panel cover may need to be bent slightly to allow the power harness egress.
  2. Connect the opposite end of the C-5211 Power Adapter Harness to the C-5602 Power Converter.
  3. Connect the C-5500-60 Power Extension Harness to the appropriate connector on the C-5602 Power Converter. The remaining cable end connects to the FasCard reader.

Connect Coin Sense Harness

  1. Disconnect the Coin Drop from the Machine Control Assembly.
  2. Connect the C-6253 Coin Sense Harness to the harness connected to the Coin Drop.

  1. Connect the C-5256 Machine Start Harness to the harness previously connected to the micro switch.

Connect and Mount Reader

  3. Connect the free end of the C-6253 Coin Sense Harness to port 3 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.
  4. Connect the free end of the C-5500-60 Power Harness to port 1.
  5. Secure the FasCard reader to base as described in the FasCard Mounting Guide.
