  1. Using the cabling diagram, locate the 1st machine number on the first line. Normally this will be Machine #1 and it will be the 1st machine on Line 0.
  2. Install the card reader into each machine using the following steps:
  3. Connect the vend harness (provided in the mounting kit) to the card reader. The black leads are to be connected to the Coin Counter leads where the coin drop is normally connected. The Yellow leads (where applicable) are connected to the coin blocking solenoid leads from the coin drop.
  4. On some makes of laundry equipment there is a one-to-one harness that is used, and no color coding is required. See section titled Start Harness Wiring Reference for information specific to Washer and Dryer models
  5. Set the machine's start mechanism to start on one coin. This is just a reminder that this step needed to be completed. This is done differently on different makes of equipment. See your equipment documentation on how to perform this routine.
  6. Install the Coin Vault mounting bracket (provided in the mounting kit).
  7. If required, attach the threaded spacers to the mounting bracket.
  8. Feed the Reader end of the vend harness, along with the data cable, through the coin vault opening and through the mounting bracket. Connect the harness and the data cable to the card reader. Be consistent when plugging in DaisyChain cables. Pull cable from right port to left port moving from left to right.
  9. Feed the other data cable through the coin vault opening and through the mounting bracket. Then connect the data cable to the card reader's left port. Mount the reader to the mounting bracket. Do not over tighten the mounting screws!
  10. Install the coin drop or Coin Vault cover plate as specified for specific make of machine.
  11. Move on to the next machine and repeat steps throughout the store until all appliances (and doors if applicable) are connected to readers.
