Adding Value to a Loyalty Card Using a FasCard Reader on a Machine

This guide provides detailed information and processes on how to add value to a loyalty card using a FasCard reader installed on a machine (washer, dryer, etc.) where enabled and applicable.

Enabling ‘Add Value’ option on a Machine

Enabling the ability for a FasCard reader to accept credit / debit / EBT* cards for adding value to a loyalty card would require an authorized user, manager, administrator or store owner to contact CCI Technical Support for verification and assistance.

*EBT acceptance requires additional processes, if not already set up and enabled through CCI.

Adding Value to a Loyalty Card on a Machine

Once enabled, the ability to add value to an existing loyalty card using a FasCard reader on a machine will depend on the reader type being used.

  1. Swipe your Loyalty Card on the FasCard reader and select the ADD VALUE option.

    F1 Readers



    F2 & F3 Readers
  2. Select the Add Value package you want to apply to your loyalty card.



  3. Once selected, you may proceed with whichever preferred card method is accepted to add value to your loyalty card.

Using a Card Swipe

F1, F2, and F3 readers are capable of adding value to a Loyalty Account using the credit/debit card swipe.

 

While on this screen, swiping your credit/debit card will add value to a Loyalty Account, should the transaction succeed.

EBT Cards

If EBT cards are accepted and one is swiped on an Add Value Kiosk, PIN entry is required on the following pinpad screen for verification.

Only Touchscreen readers can utilize EBT transactions due to pinpad entry requirements.

 

Performing an NFC Transaction With Your Smartphone

Both F2 and F3 readers are capable of adding value to a Loyalty Account using Smartphone NFC (Near Field Communication) functionality.

While on this screen, holding your smart phone (with NFC capability) close to the reader will add value to a Loyalty Account, provided credit/debit card information is stored in the phone/application.

Using an EMV Chip Credit/Debit Card

Only F3 readers are capable of adding value to a Loyalty Account using an EMV Chip Insert.

While on this screen, inserting a credit/debit card with an EMV chip will add value to a Loyalty Account, should the transaction succeed.

 

Performing an NFC Transaction With a Tap-To-Charge Card

Only F3 readers are capable of adding value to a Loyalty Account using a Tap-To-Charge Credit/Debit Card's passive NFC (Near Field Communication) functionality.

While on this screen, holding your Tap-To-Charge card close to the reader for a brief period will add value to a Loyalty Account, provided the credit/debit card is capable of a successful NFC transaction. This is typically indicated by the four-bar NFC logo on the side or corner of a valid card.

Card Transaction Result

Regardless of the method, when a successful transaction occurs, message will be displayed indicating the success of the transfer as well as the new account balance.
