Using the Add Value Kiosk

The Add Value Kiosk allows customers to add additional value to an existing FasCard Loyalty account using cash, credit, or debit.

Adding Value to a Loyalty Card and Viewing Rewards

While in front of an Add Value Kiosk, you can either swipe your existing loyalty card on the card reader or tap either Add Value or Check Balance to reach the following screen:

When swiping your loyalty card or using the Mobile App QR code at the Add Value Kiosk, you have three options:

  1. Add Value with

  • Swipe a Loyalty card on the Add Value Kiosk.

  • Select the option 'Add value from cash'.

    1. From the loyalty details menu, select the Add Cash button. Alternatively, you can immediately insert cash while on the loyalty details menu.

    2. Insert your dollar bills into the bill acceptor. The value amount inserted will show on screen and update for each bill you insert.

    3. Once the desired amount of money has been inserted, tap Done. A ‘Transferring Funds…’ prompt will appear before the card dispenser activates.

    4. Once the card balance confirmation displays on screen, funds will be immediately available on the loyalty account.

    Adding Value Using Available Credit/Debit Options

    Swipe the loyalty card.

    Once reached, the following screen will display below, which will allow more than one method of using a credit/debit account for the transaction, depending on the generation of the reader.

    2. Choose from one of the Add Value packages visible on-screen.

    3. On the Credit payment method screen, you’ll be prompted to either insert an EMV chip card into the reader or tap an NFC-capable card or NFC pay-ready smart device.

      If the credit/debit/EBT card is incapable of either of the above secure options, you can swipe your card on the magstrip reader located to the right of the touchscreen. Alternatively, if the credit card fails to read the chip after three (3) tries, you will be prompted to swipe your card on the magstrip reader.

    4. Once the card balance confirmation displays on screen, funds will be immediately available on the loyalty account.

    Using a Credit/Debit Card Swipe

    F1, F2, and F3 readers are capable of adding value to a Loyalty Account using the credit/debit card swipe. However, on F3 readers, if a chip is present, or any EMV securities are intact on the card/account, the card swipe will only activate if the chip function failed too many times (e.g. three (3) failed chip card inserts).

    While on this screen, with an F2 reader (or an F3 reader if the credit/debit card is incapable of, or frequently fails, a chip insert), swiping your credit/debit card will add value to a Loyalty Account, should the transaction succeed.

    Performing an NFC Transaction With Your Smartphone

    Both F2 and F3 readers are capable of adding value to a Loyalty Account using Smartphone NFC (Near Field Communication) functionality.

    While on this screen, holding your smart phone (with NFC capability) close to the reader will add value to a Loyalty Account, provided credit/debit card information is stored in the phone/application.

    Only F3 readers are capable of adding value to a Loyalty Account using an EMV Chip Insert.

    Performing an NFC Transaction With a Tap-To-Charge Card

    Only F3 readers are capable of adding value to a Loyalty Account using a Tap-To-Charge Credit/Debit Card's passive NFC (Near Field Communication) functionality.

    While on this screen, holding your Tap-To-Charge card close to the reader for a brief period will add value to a Loyalty Account, provided the credit/debit card is capable of a successful NFC transaction. This is typically indicated by the four-bar NFC logo on the side or corner of a valid card.

    Regardless of the method, when a successful transaction occurs, message will be displayed indicating the success of the transfer as well as the new account balance.

    Rewards

    * MasterCard only accepted for F2 Smartphone NFC transactions. Must be enabled on the FasCard Admin Site by an authorized employee or administrator.

    Rewards

    If the location rewards loyalty points toward eligible bonus cash usable at that location, a third option to View Rewards will be available on the loyalty details screen.

    Access Account with QR Code And The Mobile App

    Loyalty Account users can access an account without a Loyalty Card by using the Mobile app and a phone's camera to read the QR matrix code on the touch kiosk.  Click here to read more about this functionality
