Overview

This page is intended to guide the user through L2TP VPN configuration on devices using MacOS Sierra and above.

Configuration Guide

Step 1 - Add a New Connection

  1. Navigate to 'System Preferences'
  2. Select 'Network'
  3. Click the '+' icon.

Step 2 - Configure the Connection Interface

  1. Select 'VPN' in the 'Interface' field.
  2. Select 'L2TP over IPSEC' in the 'VPN Type' field.
  3. Enter the preferred name of the VPN connection in the 'Service Name' field (e.g. store account number, etc).

Step 3 - Configure Connection Destination

  1. In the 'Configuration' field, leave the selection set to 'Default'.
  2. In the 'Server Address' field, enter the static IP address assigned to the firewall at the appropriate LaundryCard location.
  3. In the 'Account Name' field, enter the user name provided by CCI Support.
  4. Click on 'Authentication Settings' and proceed to Step 4.

Step 4 - Configure Authentication Settings

  1. Select 'Password' under 'User Authentication'. Enter the password provided by CCI Support.
  2. Select 'Shared Secret' under 'Machine Authentication'. Enter the following shared secret: NoMoreCoins2Collect
  3. Click the 'Advanced' button and proceed to step 5.

Step 5 - Configure Traffic Settings

  1. Check the 'Send all traffic over VPN connection' box.
  2. Click 'OK'.
  3. Click 'Apply'.

Step 6 - Connect to VPN / Remote Management
