Overview

LaundryCard X-Changers have the ability to display advertising while they are idle. This mode can be used by the store owner to promote internal store specials, or even as a revenue source to sell advertising space. LaundryCard does not have a user interface to allow store owners to create, setup, or edit advertisements This work must be completed by CCI technical support.

Description

CCI will provide new LaundryCard owners (who have not previously had custom ads) up to two free advertisements for self-promotion. Free advertisements are not available for commercially sold ads. If a store owner would like to purchase ads beyond the free advertisements, or for outside advertising revenue, CCI charges a setup/configuration fee (see pricing below) for each advertisement based on content.  Store owners must provide CCI with digital artwork formatted for PC. Artwork can be emailed to support@laundrycard.com. If artwork is too large for email, contact support for access to FTP upload or alternative methods of sending multimedia files.

Advertisements have the following parameters that must be configured per advertisement at the time of submission:

  • What date should the ad begin and end.
  • How long the X-Changer is idle before advertising begins (Default is 10 min, can be changed to any value).
  • How long the ad should appear for before switching to the next ad.
  • Select one of two rotation options:
    • Always maintain the ad rotation order regardless when the advertising was interrupted by the user (restart where it left off).
    • Always start the ad list from the beginning when the advertising is interrupted.

Please include the desired settings for each ad that is submitted as these can only be configured by CCI support.

CCI Pricing

Pricing is per store. Includes setup/configuration of ad as well as removal date of ad for all X-Changers at a single store.

It is suggested for commercially sold advertisements, that store owners forward CCI setup costs to the advertiser and charge between $50 and $100 per month.

Video Ads

Video must be submitted in one of the following formats:

  • WMV
    • Codec: WMV3 (Windows Media Video 9)
    • Max Size: 800x600
    • Max Frame Rate: 30fps
    • Audio: 1 Channel Mono

  • MP4/M4V (Version 8 and newer)
    • Recommended Codec: H.264
    • Max Size: 1024x768
    • Max Recommended Frame Rate: 30fps
    • Recommended Audio: 1 Channel Mono or 2 Channel Dual-Mono
      • Note: Stereo audio split between the two channels may not play correctly with the singular X-Changer cabinet speaker.


High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC)

HEVC is a paid codec typically used with iOS devices and Apple programs (iMovie, Final Cut) that can share an .MP4/M4V/MOV extension and must be converted to a different codec before submission.
