Installation

Install Mounting Hardware

  1. Remove coin drops and coin boxes.
  2. Remove vault service switch connections from the switch and bridge using the C-5365 Bypass Harness.
  3. Take the C-0940 Vault Cover and bend the inner tabs outward.
  4. Insert the C-0940 Vault Cover into the coin box opening. The previously bent tabs should catch the inner lip of the coin vault and secure the bracket in place.

  5. Place the C-5700-TEMP Drill Template on the desired mounting location.

  6. Verify included harnesses will reach desired location without encountering interference from internal machine components.

    1. Suggested mounting location: Coin drop opening.

  7. Refer to FasCard Mounting Guide for further instructions.

  1. Tap power as described in the Fascard Reader Install - Universal Concepts document by connecting the C-5210 Power Adapter Harness to the power distribution panel inside the machine.

    1. 120vac: Connect the blue wire to L1 and the brown wire to N.

    2. 240vac: Connect the blue wire to L1 and the brown wire to L2.

    3. Connect the green wire to ground.

  2. Connect the opposite end of the C-5210 Power Adapter Harness to the C-5602R1 Power Converter.

  3. Connect the C-5500 Power Extension Harness to the appropriate connector on the C-5602R1 Power Converter. The remaining cable end connects to the FasCard reader.

Connect and Mount Reader

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through the mounting hole.
  2. (Pulse Start Harness Only) Connect the free end of the C-5256 or C-5300-NC Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.
  3. (Serial Start Harness Only) Connect the free end of the C-0110-TOP Machine Start Harness to port 1 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.
  4. (Coin and Card Installation Only) Connect the free end of the C-5250 or C-5253 Coin Sense Harness to port 3 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.
  5. Connect the free end of the C-5500 Power Extension Harness to port 4 (Power Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  2. Connect the C-0110-CP Jumper Plug to the H6 connection on the Machine Control Assembly.

  3. Power on the machine.
