Warning!

This document assumes the installer has working knowledge of hand tools and of the target machine in question. Physical modification of machine may be required, including modification of machine panels and internal modification to accommodate cables or harnesses.

  1. Place the C-0801 Mounting Bracket at the desired mounting location. Align the bracket so the two unthreaded holes are at the top and bottom of the bracket.

  2. Using the C-0801 Mounting Bracket, mark the top and bottom holes for mounting it to the surface. Then mark the large central opening for inserting the LaundryCard reader and running required harnesses.

  3. Cut open the large central opening in the surface, then use material appropriate fasteners (Not Provided.) to secure the C-0801 Mounting Bracket to the surface.

  1. Place the C-5700-TEMP Drill Template on the desired mounting location.

  2. Mark hole "D" for the pilot hole to run the harnesses to the reader. Mark "C" and "E" holes to provide mounting points for the reader bracket.

  3. Use a 1-1/8" hole saw to drill a hole at position "D".

  4. Place and align C-5700 F1 Mounting Bracket so that the center hole aligns with hole "D" and the two holes immediately to the left and right align with the holes marked for "C" and "E".

  5. Using material appropriate fasteners (Not Provided.), secure the C-5700 F1 Mounting Bracket to the surface using points "C" and "E".

  6. Optional: If accepting credit cards, apply the C-5027 Label on or near the F1 card reader for applicable credit cards.

  1. Place the C-6700-TEMP Drill Template on the desired mounting location.

  1. Connect the C-5200-72 Powerline Adapter Harness to an 120v electrical outlet.

  2. Connect the white, 3-pin connector from the C-5200-72 Powerline Adapter Harness to the matching end on the C-5602R1 Power Converter.

  3. Connect the 4-pin connector from the C-5500 Power Extension Harness to the matching end on the C-5602R1 Power Converter.

Connect Machine Interface Harness

  1. Connect the one of the ends of the C-5256 Machine Start Harness to the positive terminal from the door strike power source. Connect the other spade connector to the positive terminal on the door strike.

    1. Note: Depending on the door strike installed, spade terminals may not be available or may be too far apart for the harness to reach. In this case, cut the ends of the C-5256 Machine Start Harness and then cut and splice into the positive lead wire (In any pairing.).

  2. The negative lead from the door strike power source should remain connected to the negative terminal on the door strike.

  3. Note: If the door strike requires a normally closed circuit instead of a normally open one, move the wire in the 6th position to the 4th position on the C-5256 Machine Start Harness.

Connect and Mount Reader

 LaundryCard Reader (C-0100, C-0101, C-0102, C-0103)

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through mounting bracket.

  2. For serial setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 1 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. For coin pulse setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the the Cat5 cables running to and from the adjacent machines to ports labeled 3 (Line Connection Ports) as shown in the image above.

  5. Secure the LaundryCard reader to the bracketry using included hardware.

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through mounting bracket.

  2. For serial setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 1 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. For coin pulse setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the free end of the Power Harness to port 1.

  5. Secure the L2 reader to base as described in FasCard F2/F3 Reader Installation Guide - Front Mount.

 F1 Reader (C-5001)

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through the mounting hole as described in the F1 Reader Mounting Guide.

  2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 1 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the free end of the Coin Sense Harness to port 3 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  5. Connect the free end of the Power Extension Harness to port 4 (Power Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  6. Secure the FasCard reader to base as described in the F1 Reader Mounting Guide.

 F2/FLEX Reader (C-5401, C-5402, C-5402E)

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through the mounting hole as described in FasCard F2/F3 Reader Installation Guide - Front Mount.

  2. For Serial Setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 5 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. For Pulse Setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the free end of the Coin Sense Harness to port 3 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    1. For dual coin drop setups connect the secondary Coin Sense Harness to port 4 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  5. Connect the free end of the Power Harness to port 1.

  6. Secure the FasCard reader to base as described in FasCard F2/F3 Reader Installation Guide - Front Mount.
