This document assumes the installer has working knowledge of hand tools and of the target machine in question. Physical modification of machine may be required, including modification of machine panels and internal modification to accommodate cables or harnesses.

  1. Remove existing coin box and coin drop.

  2. Install the C-5365 Bypass Harness by removing the coin vault switch and connecting the spade terminal connections to C-5365 Bypass Harness.

  3. Bend the side tabs of the C-0936 Bracket outward and install into the coin vault. The tabs should snap into place securing the bracket.

  4. Attach the C-0133 Standoffs to the Bracket.

  5. Attach reader to C-0936 Vault Mount Bracket using C-0144 Screws.

  6. Apply C-5033 Label over the coin drop opening.

    1. Optional: Apply C-5027 Label on or near the reader for any accepted credit card issuers.

  1. Remove existing coin box.

  2. Remove Vault Switch and bridge the wires previously connected to the Vault Switch with the C-5365 Bypass Harness.

  3. Bend the side tabs of the C-6602 Vault Bracket outward and install into the coin vault. The tabs should snap into place securing the bracket.

  4. Arrange both the C-5414 Mounting Bracket and the C-0906 Spacer so the smaller screw holes align. Secure both to the C-6601 Vault Mount so that the C-0906 Spacer is between the machine panel and the C-5414 Mounting Bracket.

  5. Apply the C-5033 Label over the coin drop opening.

  1. Tap power as described in the Fascard Reader Install - Universal Concepts document by connecting the C-5336 Power Adapter Harness to the power distribution panel inside the machine.

    1. 120vac: Connect the blue wire to L1 and the brown wire to N using the C-5101 Spade Taps.

    2. 240vac: Connect the blue wire to L1 and the brown wire to L2 using the C-5101 Spade Taps.

    3. Secure the green wire beneath the ground screw.

  2. Connect the opposite end of the C-5336 Power Adapter Harness to the C-5602R1 Power Converter.

  3. Connect the C-5500 Power Extension Harness to the appropriate connector on the C-5602R1 Power Converter. The remaining cable end connects to the FasCard reader.

Connect Coin Sense Harness

  1. Disconnect the terminal quick connects from the terminal block mounted on top of the coin vault.

    1. Mark the outer green and red quick connects for later use if using C-5265 Machine Start Harness.

  2. Connect the C-5360 Coin Sense Harness to the terminal block tabs. Match each connection by color of the coin sensor wires.

  1. Connect the red wires from the C-5265 Machine Start Harness to the red and green terminal quick connects from the terminal block mounted on the coin vault. Pairing does not matter.

  2. Run the black wires from the C-5265 Machine Start Harness to the SoapLink 24v relay board located on the back of the machine.

  3. Connect black wires from the C-5265 Machine Start Harnessto RO1 and JO1. Pairing does not matter. (See below image for reference.)

  4. Connect the ends of C-5266 Jumper to RO11 and QO3. (See below image for reference.)

Connect and Mount Reader

 LaundryCard Reader (C-0100, C-0101, C-0102, C-0103)

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through mounting bracket.

  2. For serial setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 1 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. For coin pulse setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the the Cat5 cables running to and from the adjacent machines to ports labeled 3 (Line Connection Ports) as shown in the image above.

  5. Secure the LaundryCard reader to the bracketry using included hardware.

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through mounting bracket.

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 1 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. For coin pulse setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the free end of the Power Harness to port 1.

  5. Secure the L2 reader to base as described in FasCard F2/F3 Reader Installation Guide - Front Mount.

 F1 Reader (C-5001)

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through the mounting hole as described in the F1 Reader Mounting Guide.

  2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 1 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the free end of the Coin Sense Harness to port 3 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  5. Connect the free end of the Power Extension Harness to port 4 (Power Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  6. Secure the FasCard reader to base as described in the F1 Reader Mounting Guide.

 F2/FLEX Reader (C-5401, C-5402, C-5402E)

  1. Feed remaining harness ends through the mounting hole as described in FasCard F2/F3 Reader Installation Guide - Front Mount.

  2. For Serial Setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    2. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 5 (Serial Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  3. For Pulse Setups:

    1. Connect the free end of the Machine Start Harness to port 2 (Pulse Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  4. Connect the free end of the Coin Sense Harness to port 3 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

    1. For dual coin drop setups connect the secondary Coin Sense Harness to port 4 (Coin Sense Harness Connection Port) as shown in the image above.

  5. Connect the free end of the Power Harness to port 1.

  6. Secure the FasCard reader to base as described in FasCard F2/F3 Reader Installation Guide - Front Mount.

Machine Configuration

Singlevend - Coin Pulse

  1. Enter the machine's System Menu and set the following settings (See machine programming manual for more info.)

    1. Machine Settings

      1. Liquid Soap Supply: Enabled

    2. Payment Settings:

      1. Enable Types: Disable all payment types

      2. Coin Options: Single

      3. Coin 1 Value: Intended Vend Price

      4. Coin 2 Value: Intended Vend Price

      5. Serial Payment System: Disabled

  2. On the FasCard Admin site, create a SingleVend equipment type with the following settings:

    1. Mode: Simple

    2. Pulse Length: 1000

    3. Pulse Interval: 250

    4. Pulse Type: Relay

    5. Sensor Input: Required Off

    6. Show Remaining Time: Disabled

    7. Cycle Time: 600 Seconds

    8. # Pulses: 1
