Introducing the New Wireless Card Reader for LaundryCard

For nearly 25 years, our LaundryCard system has relied on wired card readers with a simple, non-backlit LCD text display on each piece of laundry equipment. Today, we're excited to introduce a major upgrade: the new Wireless Card Reader, featuring a 3.5-inch color display.

The Wireless Card Reader brings a modern, sleek look to your laundromat while greatly simplifying installation. No more running CAT5 cables to each machine—installation is faster, and adding new machines is easier. This new feature also helps eliminate common issues like damaged cabling, which often led to multiple card reader outages in the past.

Adding wireless readers to your system is straightforward. A CAP (CCI Access Point) is mounted to the ceiling of the store with a single CAT5 cable run back to the X-Changer kiosk. No power is needed at the CAP location, as it is delivered via Power over Ethernet (POE). Each CAP can support up to 75 card readers, and each system can support up to 4 CAPs, allowing a system to handle up to 300 card readers per location.

  • Flexible Integration: The wireless readers can be added to an existing LaundryCard setup, allowing a mix of both wired and wireless card readers in the same location. This flexibility ensures that upgrading is smooth and scalable. The same mag-stripe loyalty cards used in the system today can be used with the new reader.
