Feature Overview: WDF ProLink

Feature Overview: WDF ProLink

WDF ProLink is a powerful new feature coming to the FasCard and FLEX systems that helps laundromats better manage their Wash Dry Fold (WDF) service. While many laundromats already use third-party Point of Sale (POS) systems to manage WDF orders, WDF ProLink takes it a step further by tying machine activity directly to specific WDF orders—whether or not a POS is in use.

Why It Matters

WDF ProLink gives store owners:

  • Clear insight into which machines were used, when, and by whom for each WDF order.

  • Automatic tracking of order time, costs, and machine usage.

  • A way to monitor and report on WDF activity in ways that standard POS systems cannot do alone.

Even if a location doesn’t use a POS system, WDF ProLink can help streamline WDF processing using the FasCard mobile app and Loyalty Cards.

Key Benefits for Store Owners

  • Better Accountability – Every WDF order is tracked from start to finish, linked to an employee and a Laundry Card.

  • Clear Reporting – Admin dashboards and reports show sales, order volume, employee performance, and more.

  • Flexible Processing – Stores can choose to use either the mobile app or a physical card to manage WDF orders.

  • Security & Control – WDF Cards can only be used for a limited time, minimizing the risk of misuse.

How It Works

🪪 Laundry Cards

Each WDF order is linked to a Laundry Card, which can only be used during a set time window (called the “Order Processing Time”). After that window, the card is deactivated. Cards can be reused for future orders.

🧼 Card Readers

WDF ProLink works seamlessly with our supported card readers (F2, F2e, F3, F3e, and FlexRF) and brings new capabilities designed to help employees manage WDF orders efficiently:

  • Visual Cues – When a machine is started for a WDF order, the card reader display will show a unique color and the WDF order number, helping staff distinguish between multiple active orders.

  • Color-Coded Management – The system supports up to 9 different colors, assigned automatically to each active order, resetting once the list is exhausted. This makes it easier to manage multiple orders simultaneously on the floor.

  • Time-Based Display – The assigned color and order number remain visible on the reader display throughout the machine cycle and for 5 minutes afterward, supporting better tracking and accountability.

⚠️ Note: These card reader enhancements will be included in the Core 105 firmware update, scheduled for release in August 2025. Until then, readers will function as normal but without the visual WDF-specific display updates.

📱 Mobile App

An upcoming update to the FasCard mobile app will add a dedicated WDF section for employees to:

  • Create new WDF orders (including order number, weight, and price).

  • Start machines directly from the app.

  • Monitor active orders and reset timeouts.

  • Close orders once they’re complete.

  • Get alerts when machine cycles are almost done.

📊 Admin Dashboard

A new WDF ProLink dashboard in the Admin Site gives store owners:

  • Daily/weekly/monthly/yearly summaries of WDF activity.

  • Volume and revenue tracking.

  • Employee performance rankings.

  • Access to detailed reports for business insights.

🔌 POS Integration (via API)

WDF ProLink includes an API that allows POS partners to:

  • Create and manage WDF orders.

  • Start machines remotely.

  • Access full order history and machine usage.

  • Sync cost and operational data.

Important: API access has already been shared with several POS vendors, who are in various stages of integration. As vendors complete their integration, we will announce them and maintain an internal list of compatible systems.

What to Expect Next
