General Information
WorldNet is a credit card gateway responsible for moving encrypted credit card information between Card Concepts systems, such as FasCard, to the payment processor end. Payment processors vary.
Payment (Merchant) Processor: This is the company responsible for receiving information from the Gateway Processor, and processes the payments for the merchant. They are also the ones who will deposit credit card transactions to the merchant's bank account.
The most common reason to move to WorldNet is to begin accepting EMV payments. Europay, Mastercard and Visa (EMV) was a term created for credit/debit cards that store cardholder information on a metallic chip instead of in a magnetic stripe. These chips can only be authenticated by special readers, making them more secure than stripe-only cards.
In order for your laundromat to begin accepting on WorldNet, or take EMV payments, you must meet the hardware and/or software requirements for your card system. See information below for details!
WorldNet Migration Checklist
Your payment processor, whether Paystri (CCI’s preferred processor), or your own 3rd party choice, must be able to generate a VAR sheet using either First Data Nashville or TSYS Aquiring Solutions for the payment platform.
VAR/Tear Sheet: This is a document provided by the merchant/payment processor to be used on the gateway processor's boarding dashboard.
Your payment processor can review this document for guidance on creating a VAR sheet: How-to Format VAR Sheet(s) for WorldNet Payments Gateway
