Additional Requirements
Access to the inside of the Touch Kiosk from the front end.
PH0 and PH1 Phillips Screwdrivers (or driver with PH0 and PH1 Phillips bits).
(Optional) Zip tie cutters and zip ties.
(Optional) Small suction cup puller after unlocking cabinet.
Prepare Touch Kiosk (Powering Down)
Unlock the Touch Kiosk cabinet and carefully slide the drawer until you reach the railing stopper. You do not have to pull the drawer completely out, but take caution if the kiosk is not wall-mounted or supported by a mounted base in case the drawer is susceptible to any non-mounted issues or falling out.
Press the Maintenance button on the Touch Kiosk power controller found above the Bill Acceptor behind the Touch Kiosk.
On the touchscreen, press Maintenance Menu → Shutdown/Reboot → Shutdown Computer and wait a few seconds as the Touch Kiosk goes offline.
If you are not sure whether the Touch Kiosk is completely off, check both the visible port side of the TK mainboard (left side when facing the front of the touchscreen) and the power controller for any powered-on lights. If not illuminated, the system is offline.
On the accessible power supply past the Bill Acceptor on the Touch Kiosk shelf, flip the main power switch into the OFF (0) position and unplug the power cable.
Remove the Old Card Dispenser
From the left side of the exposed Touch Kiosk drawer when facing the touchscreen, the card dispenser unit can be found as the entire assembly and will be removed. No dispenser disassembly required.
On the side of the dispenser, disconnect the power and interface harnesses from dispenser itself.
<<placeholder for cables removed on side of TKRF>>If replacing either or both of these two harnesses are necessary, ensure that both ends of said harnesses are disconnected and freed from any zip ties or cable management.
On the Power Controller, disconnect the CARD power connector from the controller.
Behind the Power Controller, unmount the screwed-in 9-pin serial connector with a Philips screwdriver and disconnect the communication cable.
On the Card Dispenser itself, unscrew the four (4) mounting screws using either a PH0 or PH1 Phillips screwdriver or bit and remove the card dispenser from the Dispenser Riser Shelf.

If the dispenser has a grounding wire in one of the dispenser mounting screw holes, it is vital said screw and ground wire are reattached.
Mount and Install the Replacement Card Dispenser
(Optional) Replacing the Dispenser Riser Shelf (Mounting Bracket)
Attach and secure the C-5654 Dispenser Mounting Bracket onto the Touch Kiosk drawer with the existing dispenser mounting screws.
The four (4) mounting screw holes for securing the C-0996 bracket. If a grounding wire is present, ensure the grounding screw is secured in place back in its respective corner placement.
Mounting the Dispenser
Position the C-5652 Card Dispenser onto the top of the Mounting Bracket, ensuring the front bezel meets with the front opening of the card dispenser, aligning the four (4) mounting screw holes to their adjustable positions of the mounting frame of the card dispenser.
The mounting holes must align with all four (4) spaces in the mounting frame of the card dispenser. The raised mounting holes on the frame are not used in this example.Once the dispenser is in place, secure with the four (4) C-1012 Mounting Screws.
On the Power Controller, connect the C-5651-POWER cable to the CARD power connector port.
Behind the Power Controller, connect the C-5651-CABLE into the vacant 9-pin Serial port and secure with the existing connector mounting screws.
Feed the opposite ends of the cabling through the harness channels to connect the C-5651-CABLE and C-5651-POWER communication and power cables to the side of the C-5651 Card Dispenser.
If further cable management is necessary, ensure that you rewrap the correct series of zip ties and cable wraps.
On the Dial Switches, ensure that Switches 1 and 2 on the furthest left is set to the ON position and all other dials remain in the OFF position. This is important, as the dispenser will not communicate with the Touch Kiosk otherwise.
Power and Test the Installed Dispenser
Reconnect the power cable to the rear power supply and flip the main power switch into the ON (1) position.
Once fully powered and Touch Kiosk reaches the Home/Idle screen, on the Power Controller, press the Maintenance button.
On the touchscreen, press Diagnostic Menu → Start Diagnostics and observe the Card Dispenser section of the diagnostic screen.
If the MT166-RF dispenser is not recognized, the Diagnostic Screen will display on restart as if a legacy Asahi Seiko card dispenser is installed.

Unlike the MT166-C, this particular Card Dispenser’s read-on-dispense function involves the unit acquiring the card number from an internal RF reader, allowing for Near-Field-Communications (NFC) during the dispense.
Tap the dispensed FLEX RF card on the C-1009 EMV Card Reader for contactless card recognition. The card number should populate in the EMV Card Reader box, so long as the Status box shows a green ‘Ready’ indicator.
Continue to repeatedly Dispense Cards until you reach 20 cards dispensed.
