Pre-configured Cards
The Super and Diagnostic cards are considered "pre-configured" cards because they are never-changing and serve an explicit purpose. You may purchase the Super and Diagnostic cards from CCI Technical Support staff directly, rather than going through your distributor. These cards can be used at any FasCard/FLEX location when permitted.
Super Card
The Super card is able to start card readers when the payment options that are always available are no longer working. The readers will say “Out of Service” in most occasions, or “Connecting to WiFi” under certain reader conditions. This only applies to FasCard/FLEX card readers installed on washers, dryers, vending machines, and doors. If the reader has been placed in a "Disabled" status from the FasCard Admin Site, then the Super card will not work. Conversely, if the reader is in working order, the Super card will also not work.
CCI Technical Support recommends keeping a Super card somewhere accessible for all employees in case of an unforeseen line/reader outage. This will allow the offline equipment to start, for free via the Super card, until a manager or technician can make it on-site to resolve the line/reader outage.
To use this card:
The card reader should say “Out of Service” in most occasions, or “Connecting to WiFi” under certain reader conditions.
The machine must be in working order to accept the reader's start.
Swipe or Tap the Super card depending on the reader type. Wait five (5) seconds before each additional insert.
The reader will now start the machine.
Diagnostic card
The Diagnostic card is a great tool to have when line troubleshooting your readers. The below Diagnostic Menu guides provide additional information for what Diagnostic Menu options are available per reader generation.
