How-To Create 'Employee Only' Doors in LaundryCard

This guide explains how to setup a Singlevend equipment type to use with a LaundryCard reader + door strike to restrict access to unlocking the door to a desired employee: Attendants, Technicians, or Managers.

 Instructions

Create a new (or modify existing) Singlevend equipment type.

  1. Restart WCRD to initiate bootloader for firmware download.

  2. Configure the pulse length as 5000 (may vary per setup).

  3. Cycle time: 2 seconds (how much time to allow door to stay open before requiring another card insert)

  4. Set the ‘Equipment Type’ dropdown according the the following:

100+ for the type configures a ‘secure machine’ which is used to restrict the card reader to specific employee cards.

For a secure machine, setting an equipment type to one of the values below will require a proper card to use the reader.

101, 111, 121... = Attendant or better
103, 113, 123... = Technician or better
104, 114, 124... = Collector or better
105, 115, 125... = Manager only
