How-To Clean a Barcode Scanner

Overview

This is the recommended guide for upkeep of the barcode scanner/reader.

The barcode scanner/reader is recommended to be cleaned every two (2) months.

Supplies Needed

Rubbing Alcohol	Lint-free Cloth or Paper Towel

Rubbing Alcohol	Lint-free Cloth or Paper Towel

The lens of the scanner should be cleaned with a non-abrasive cleaner such as rubbing alcohol.

It is suggested to lightly moisten a paper towel or lint-free cloth and wipe clean the eye of the bar code scanner.

Test the barcode scanner after cleaning to ensure it is still properly aligned.

Never spray anything onto the bar code scanner directly.
